Welcome!
My name is Caglar Onal. I am an applied microeconomist with a focus on labor, health, crime, substance use, and family dynamics, as well as their intersections. Presently, I serve as a Senior Research Data Analyst at The Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. I earned my PhD in 2023 from the Economics Department at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
My current research at Northwestern University explore the public health burden of food allergies and the demographic variances associated with them. Central to my work is the drive to develop research that informs and refines public policies, with the goal of improving the health and well-being of the population.
Please feel free to email me (at caglar.onal@northwestern.edu) if you want to talk about my research, or just to say hello!Â
